Leasor Quarter Horses is located in Holland, Massachusetts in a rural, peaceful setting that is great for working with horses. Our small facility has a relaxed atmosphere that is wonderful for accomplishing great things with young horses. Doug’s personal attention to detail is an added bonus, as he rides and trains each horse himself for the duration of their stay here at our training barn. Doug is an accomplished horseman who has trained horses that have won the All American Quarter Horse Congress, Reserve AQHYA World Championships, AQHA World Show qualifiers and Award winners and AQHA High Point title earners. Doug grew up and lived in Hodgenville, Kentucky until 2003 when he relocated to Massachusetts. Doug is a well known clinician having given clinics all across the United States and Canada, including Hawaii. Doug can work with all levels of horses and riders to help them to better their times and achieve their goals. Doug’s ability to start young horses and turn them into safe, sane competitors that enjoy their jobs are trademarks of his program. He has many unique methods and drills to teach your horse to speed up during the Pole or Barrel pattern while keeping your horse level headed and happy. Doug accepts a limited number of outside horses for training each year, we are currently booking space for the spring of 2010. Doug gives lessons and clinics year round. Doug is also an expert farrier with over 16 years of experience. He shoes all of the horses he competes on himself and as his accomplishments show he has a great knack for shoeing a horse to improve their times and turns.
